So I pretty much love this shot...because I love my own clarinet. I got a new one sophmore year of high school...its a yamaha (dunno what kind right off hand). I've been playing since 4th grade...so about 10 years now! I'm slightly depressed though because I am in my first year of college and have yet to play my clarinet here...in fact, its been 3 months since i played...the very last day of highschool. I miss it. I miss it a lot.
I play Clarinet. Ever since 5th grade and I'm going into 11th this year.
I'm going on a 16 day tour of Europe as part of a all-state band.
Who says sports are the only valuable extracurricular activities?
Love the photo. Did you have to edit it a lot?
Thanks, I'm glad you liked the photo, and thank you for the !
Since the clarinet is black and the background and clarinet keys are really light, there was a lot of natural contrast in the photo. I didn't have to do very much except add the border and up the contrast a bit to make the photo really pop.
Wonderful picture ^^ I've always loved the look of the clarinet... I think it's the silver keys, personally. Something about it is quite entrancing, and I remember spending so much time not even playing, but pressing the keys and watching the valves close. ^^
I played a few years but quit because band was too simple for me. My dad wasn't buying me any music and I know my mum didn't have the money, and I just started playing again last week. The sad thing is, I'm already playing better than I did when I quit... o.o;
I used to play back from 5th to 8th grade, and then I quit after that because I didn't want to be deemed a band geek in high school, stupid reason I know, and also I started playing bass. My sister got one a few years after and then quit because it was too hard for her, so I took it off of her hands and would mess around with it from time to time. It never got the attention it deserved, so I gave it to a very good friend of mine, and hopefully she's taking good care of it now.
The clarinet is a Buffet Crampon B12. It's nothing special, but it worked. Unfortunately I don't have the clarinet anymore because I gave it away to a very good friend of mine that really wanted to learn but couldn't afford one.
I used to play back in the day, from 5th to 8th grade, but I ended up quitting for very stupid reasons. I ended up acquiring a clarinet again and I played it, non seriously, for about a year before giving it to my friend. It's a cool instrument and all, but my passion lies in the bass.
Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you liked it. Haha, yea it is a duet. It's something out of my book for my Aural skills class. You're the first one to notice that, well, first to notice and comment on it.
